Insurance, You've Got To Have It, What's The Best Way To Find It? By Kenneth R. BlankenshipIn every jurisdiction I know of , having car is not an option, it is mandatory. Since is forced on us, whether or not we even care about the replacement costs of our car in an accident, we may actually see auto as one more financial obligation placed upon us. This is easy to understand since we are paying money today for something that probably will not be necessary, since we don't plan to get into an accident.
Unfortunately accidents happen whether we plan for them or not. Car is mandated because the people who do plan for the possibility must drive along side those who do not. And people who care so little about their own autos are likely not to care about ours either. Like it or not, in the real world the role of the government is to protect those who do not care or who would willfully take advantage of the rest of us, from the people who are responsible for their property and their behavior.
