Get--rich-quick" - The Sure Way To Internet Business Failure.
By Ben Bardot
This is critical as the difference between success and failure is a question of the mind set. Over 90% of internet businesses fail mostly because of lack of knowledge and patience.

As more and more people get connected, the internet is fast becoming the place to conduct business.

However, for the newly-converted the pitfalls are everywhere - from spurious headline grabbers to bogus business opportunities which constantly convey the message that making money on the internet is EASY and can happen OVERNIGHT!

Thus, when you get involved in a bogus business opportunity which yields nothing quite like the millions expected, the disenchantment that follows can be profound, sometimes to the point of giving up all together.

For those who've been in the game a bit longer, but

"not getting rich quick", some get involved in SEO Black Hat Tactics to get their websites to the top. This is when you try to fool the search engines in order to get to the top of the pile.

This includes key-word spamming in your page titles, images, content and such like. This may work only for a while. Search engine algorithms are improving all the time. Involving yourself in such practices can get only you banned from the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN.
In addition your IP address can be blocked, effectively killing any hopes of long-term internet business success.

I received an email from a disenchanted would-be internet business hopeful in which, he talked about
how he felt duped into buying a ready-made website amidst a fanfare of hype and promises.

After he hosted it, he suddenly realised that buying that website was only the beginning and he had no inkling as to how to promote it. In fact, in his case, it did not occur to him at all that he had to find ways of getting people get to know about his business. For a "newbie" - this was a complete disappointment.
No traffic, no money and eventually no business. He was at the point of giving up when he sent this email.

Unfortunately, this happens all the time, but we need to remember that many people are successfully making money from their internet businesses. The truth is that, it did not happen overnight. Ask any internet guru or check how long their oldest website has been
online and you'll realise some have been in the game for a good number of years perfecting what they know.

Luckily with good advice and better technology, anyone starting today - if they listen to and avoid the mistakes of their predecessors - can get off to a good start and long-term success.

Getting rid of any inclination to "Get-Rich-Quick" is the beginning of internet success. Easy COME, EASY GO. Patience, Perseverance is a virtue, even in internet business.
