What enlisted jobs in the navy require you to be a citizen?

anything requiring a clearance.. and every rating has the potential to require a clearance.

Most of the ones you list require a Clearance, and some of the ones that don’t( MC, for instance) are hard to get anyway as it is overmanned.

    as i understand it ,any open field is available to anyone . after an intensive background check-if you have no record of any type threat to the U.S.A. then you will be granted the residence and later citizenship.

    I have known many non-citizens serving in the US Navy.

    The only restriction today is security clearances. They have a hard time getting above a Confidential clearance.

    So really most rates can have an alien serving.

    Likewise all rates allow citizens to serve.

    The difference is all about clearances.
