As childish as that is, most of us subscribe to that way of thinking.
Oh, I was first in my class! I won first prize in this, that, etc. Instead of asking what we learned from the process or how what we learned can be applied to benefit mankind, we just issue a pat on the head and say, “Great job Johnny!”
Capitalism does not promote equality, it breeds fierce competition and eventually anger. If we would take the time to think critically about capitalism, this would be clear.

Our current value system is so profoundly sick, that money is the one true religion of all mankind. In our desire to become wealthy, we will screw over our best friends. We rationalize this by telling ourselves, “It’s healthy competition. I’m better than him/her and I’m going to prove it.”
Most of us never really take a look at the effects of that thought process. It is entirely self serving. Who cares if you are the best at something and pronounce to the world that you are #1!

Capitalism as a system does provide freedom and the ability to make a larger profit than your neighbor.
But, if you take a look at the core changes / motivations as effects from capitalism, it’s alarmingly frightening.
We are now focused predominantly on self interest via monetary profit and competition. We are all literally fighting each other over the transfer of funds. It’s completely absurd!
Instead of working collectively toward human progression, we love to fight and say,”look at me!”

I would hope as adults, we all realize that sexuality is irrelevant in the discussion of capitalism.

It’s funny that this dated video can be interpreted as nothing more than propaganda, but at least it shows citizens openly discussing an issue. That does not happen very often today. Today, most of us are fed our opinions via TV / marketing and we do not possess the ability to think independently and / or critically.
Aside from that, I am not a supporter of capitalism.
