 In the beginning we created FBNews.net as an opt-in email newsletter delivering ideas and strategies to mainstream companies about the power of the Internet for THEM. How they could use this quickly developing media to reach out beyond their traditional marketing area and how they could leverage their existing resources into a 24/7/365 world.

By the time our subscription had reached 22,363 business owners we were ready to move on. Our initial objective, force feeding individuals used to the traditional methods of doing business - into realizing there was an alternative to “the way we’ve always done it”.

We felt a blog that regularly supplied insightful actionable strategies was a better way. No more email newsletter. Each of you will figure out which parts of the content you’re interested in and how often you want to take advantage of it. The blog’s postings will be made by us for the time being - plus selected content from a vast database of content described on the ”Where Our Content Comes Fromnt Contributor” page below.

We encourage comments from you today and will open up the posting opportunities to business owners and professionals serving the universe of family owned and privately held companies just as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

At the same time we divided existing content from our previously published newsletter into several content specific web sites - each linked to FBNews.net so that people can easily locate resources no matter where they are posted.

 In addition our software crawled the  Internet for new, even more focused content - which we posted on each of these dedicated web sites. There is a link to the crawler software in the resources as well.

And finally we will be generating customized dedicated directories of professionals for several of these individual targeted content areas. As this happens, as we release local directories of family business specialists, we will add a link to the “directory” on each of them.

We will also be announcing their launch in this blog, so maybe you want to sign up for it.
