</div>Bank of America shuttered 154 branches in Q1<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/charlotte/bofa%20moynihan%20315*100.jpeg?v=1'>Bank of America says it closed 154 branches and eliminated 631 ATMs as it sought to improve efficiency as more customers embrace online and mobile banking, the bank told the Securities and Exchange Commission this month.
After accounting for new branch openings, the bank had a net reduction of 51 branches in the first quarter, according to a report this week from SNL Financial, a research firm.
California's largest bank operates about 5,700 branches and 17,250 ATMs nationwide.

</div> Concord Bank CEO Tony Feraro dies at 64 <img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/stlouis/print-edition/2010/11/19/Feraro,-tony_web*100.jpg?v=1'>Tony Feraro, 64, the president and CEO of Concord Bank, died Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement the bank released today.
Feraro joined the bank as president and chief executive in November 2008. He previously had worked as chief executive of Silvergate Bank in La Jolla, Calif., since 2006. Previously he had been a bank consultant and had served as chief executive of Unity Bank Corp. in Clinton, N.J. Feraro had worked in St. Louis from 1984 to 1995 as president of a division of ITT Financial.

</div> Alton Telegraph to be sold to Versa Capital Management Officials from Irvine, Calif.-based Freedom Communications Inc. said today that they reached an agreement to sell the Telegraph in Alton and three other newspapers to an affiliate of Versa Capital Management LLC.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The sale is expected to close within the next 30 days, and all employees will transition to the new company, Freedom Communications said.
