The state's rate was 7.9 percent in March, 8 percent in February and 8.2 percent in January, according to Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development data.
The nation's jobless rate in April was 8.1 percent, keeping Tennessee below the national average for the fourth consecutive month.

It's official: Facebook IPO prices at $38 Facebook's IPO has priced at $38 per share, the company reported in a news release issued minutes after markets closed, Thursday.
