</div>Tennessee unemployment rate lower in April<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/Down.Arrow.icon*100.jpg?v=1'>Tennessee's unemployment rate fell slightly in April to 7.8 percent, continuing to inch downward throughout 2012 and reaching its lowest point in three and a half years.
The state's rate was 7.9 percent in March, 8 percent in February and 8.2 percent in January, according to Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development data.
The nation's jobless rate in April was 8.1 percent, keeping Tennessee below the national average for the fourth consecutive month.

Physical therapy association to convene in Tampa
The American Physical Therapy Association will hold its annual conference and exposition at the Tampa Convention Center from June 6-9.
The conference is expected to attract about 2,200 attendees, producing about 6,300 hotel room nights and $2.4 million in delegate spending, a statement from Tampa Bay & Co. said.

Report: Halifax Media angling to make Trib its flagship

Bloomin? Brands boosts IPO offering, adds Raymond James as underwriter

The Tampa company, whose portfolio includes Outback Steakhouse and other dining chains, now plans to raise as much as $345 million in an IPO, a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said.
That?s up from the $300 million proceedings expected when the company initially unveiled its plan to go public last month.

Sun Country to connect Tampa Bay with Minneapolis/St. Paul
Sun Country Airlines, an airline based in Mendota Heights, Minn., will offer nonstop service from Tampa four times a week beginning in December.
Service will operate on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The airline announced service to Huatulco, Mexico, along with the new Tampa service.
Tampa is also the latest addition to Sun Country?s cruise package options, a written statement said.

Operating income slips for Moffitt, All Children's

RDU adopts air service incentives policy

Berkshire Hathaway buying Media General papers for $142M

As part of the $142 million cash deal, Berkshire now will have 63 daily and weekly newspapers operating under a new subsidiary called BH Media Group, according to Reuters. Following the acquisition, Media General, the owner of local station NBC 17 WNCN, will mostly be a television company.

Human Genome Sciences rejects GSK takeover bid

William Peace University wins $710K grant

Bankruptcy filings rise 4% in Wake County
<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/triangle/images/Bankruptcy6*100.jpg?v=2'>Wake County saw a small increase in the number of new bankruptcies filed in April.
A total of 211 Wake County businesses and individuals in the county filed new petitions last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, according to a report the court published Wednesday.
That represents an increase of more than 4 percent from April 2011. Numbers in most recent months have been down by small percentages, both in Wake County and in Durham and Orange Counties.

NCRR inks new rail agreements
The North Carolina Railroad Company, the Charlotte Area Transit System and Norfolk Southern Corp. have signed lease, construction, and operating agreements for the LYNX Blue Line Extension light rail project along the North Carolina Railroad corridor. The 2.7-mile span begins near East 12th Street and ends a half mile east of Eastway Drive. NCRR, which owns and manages a 317-mile rail corridor extending across 16 counties, is based in Raleigh.<div class="feedflare">
