The San Carlos-based company specializes in powering big data applications.
Bloom was previously the CEO and president of San Mateo-based smart grid management software company eMeter, which was acquired by Siemens Corp. last year. It makes metering software for electric, gas and water utilities.
Before that he was a consultant at TPG, a private investment firm.

Indiana Tech opens second Kentucky campus The College of Professional Studies at Indiana Tech will soon be offering classes at a location in Northern Kentucky. It will be the college's second Kentucky campus.
