HP to cut up to 25,000 jobs (report); no word on Mass. layoffs

H&M, the fashion retailer also known as Hennes & Mauritz, opens its fourth Portland mall store at noon, June 7, at Lloyd Center. U.S. puts 30% tariff on solar panels
The United States is sticking it to Chinese solar panel makers and will enforce tariffs of 30 percent or more on equipment manufactured there and sold into the United States. Facebook prices stock at $38
Facebook priced its shares Friday at $38, giving the company a valuation of more than $100 billion, and the stock will start trading Friday morning on the NASDAQ under the symbol FB. The world?s largest social networking Web site raised $16 billion at the price, which was above the initial $28 to $35 share price the company had initially sought. Ross raises the roof on earnings guidance, seeks 1,300 more stores
Discount clothing seller Ross Stores Inc. raised its guess about this year's earnings after sales and profit grew in the first quarter ended April 28.
