Vineyard Vines has signed a lease with Bayer Properties for a location in The Summit between L?Occitane and Brooks Brothers. Alabama foreclosures slip in April
April foreclosure filings have fallen each year since 2010 in Alabama, but a new report shows the trend is now leveling off. Combined bank foreclosure and auction filings decreased 2 percent to 1,803 in April from 1,840 in the same month of 2011, according to the latest monthly report from foreclosure tracking firm RealtyTrac. Of those filings, 650 were bank foreclosures and 1,153 were for auctions. Birmingham was one of 13 major metro areas that lost jobs between March 2011 and March 2012, according to a new report from On Numbers. The area lost 1,200 jobs over the 12-month period. Comcast raising customers' Internet data limit
Comcast Corp. said Thursday it will raise its data transmission limit on residential Internet customers from 250 gigabytes per month. Atlas Resource Partners LP said Thursday it has agreed to acquire 250 billion cubic feet equivalent of natural-gas reserves in the Barnett Shale formation in Texas for $184 million in limited partner units. Peco announces tree pruning locations in Delco
Peco Energy Co. said Thursday it will spend $1.4 million pruning trees along 300 miles of aerial electric lines in Philadelphia and Delaware County. The Philadelphia-based electric-and-gas utility said the pruning will begin at the end of May and continue through early September. A list of the Delaware County communities that will see the pruning is here. The subsidiary of Chicago-based Exelon Corp. Hecker moved to his fourth prison since February, and may move again

MN lost jobs in April, unemployment back to 5.6 percent

The state also reported that Minnesota's annual job growth rate was less than half of that nationwide. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) reported Thursday that the state's seasonally-adjusted jobless rate fell to 5.6 percent. It had fallen to 5.6 percent in January, then rose in February and March to 5.8 percent. Sun Country offers flights to new destinations

Mendota Heights-based Sun Country announced its 2013 winter schedule Thursday, which includes new nonstop flights out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to Tampa, Fla., and Huatulco, Mexico. The carrier will fly to Tampa four times a week and to Huatulco on Saturdays. The company said it's also expanding its year-round service to Boston and Seattle. 3M donation quiets the ape house at Smithsonian's National Zoo

Maplewood-based 3M (NYSE: MMM) is donating acoustic tiles to the Great Ape House at the Smithsonian?s National Zoo, which is the home of six gorillas and six orangutans. Caribe owners try Kickstarter to relaunch restaurant

The Pioneer Press reports that Caribe's owners are hoping to use online fundraising tool Kickstarter to raise capital for the new Caribe at the site of the former Amici Bistro. Kickstarter has helped other eateries get launched.
